Utilizing our degrees in Early Childhood Education and Culinary Arts, The Culinary Dude provides a hands-on, developmental approach to teaching and education in the kitchen. Our focus is on the process rather than the product. Once students have mastered the process of the how's, what's, where's, why's and when's of cooking and recipe comprehension, a focus on the product will naturally follow. Our goal is to create an environment for those people who are interested in furthering their cooking knowledge, who insist that they can't cook or just want to learn something new, by providing a comfortable, pressure less atmosphere where there is no right or wrong way, just the student's way. All adult and children classes are interchangeable and 2 to 2 1/2 hours long. If there is something you want to learn that is not listed, feel free to make suggestions. Prices for Adult and Child cooking classes are $40 per hour, for 1-4 participants (add $10 per person for over 4 people), plus the cost of supplies, menu planning and shopping for the chosen class.

Iron Chef Parties / Team Building (5-25 people)

Just like the TV show, gather your friend's, employees or staff together to cook, eat, drink and be merry. The host has the option to either choose the secret ingredient or we can offer a variety of foods in the raw to help promote the creativity and team work of your guests. Possible ingredients may include variety of meats, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, herbs and spices. Single burners, pots, pans and utensils will be provided. Your guests will be divided into even numbered groups and will have an hour to an hour and a half to prepare a meal with three components, a meat, a vegetable and a starch. The food will be judged by the Culinary Dude as well as the host of the event.
